Classical Piano

Choose one of the six main categories

 

  • Category 1: Very Young Pianist (5-6 years old) - free choice programme up to 5 minutes*
    Category 2: Young Pianist (7-9 years old) - free choice programme up to 5 minutes*
    Category 3: Junior Pianist (10-13 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 7 minutes*
    Category 4: Senior Pianist (14-17 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 9 minutes
    Category 5: Master Pianist (18-25 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 12 minutes
    Category 6: Open (above 26 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 15 minutes


    *In the younger categories (Very Young Pianist, Young Pianist and Junior Pianist), 88 - key weighted digital piano performance is allowed. For the categories beyond, please submit recordings on acoustic pianos (upright/grand). Electronic keyboard performances are not allowed.

     




 

Classical Violin

Choose one of the six main categories
 

  • Category 1: Very Young Violinist (5-7 years old) - free choice programme up to 5 minutes
    Category 2: Young Violinist (8-9 years old) - free choice programme up to 5 minutes
    Category 3: Junior Violinist (10-13 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 7 minutes
    Category 4: Senior Violinist (14-17 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 9 minutes
    Category 5: Master Violinist (18-25 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 12 minutes
    Category 6: Open (above 26 years old) - programme  from two different eras up to 15 minutes

     

Classical Singing

Choose one of the six main categories
 

  • Category 1: Young Vocalist (8-10 years old) - free choice programme up to 7 minutes

  • Category 2: Junior Vocalist (11-13 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 8 minutes

  • Category 3: Middle Junior Vocalist (14-16 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 9  minutes

  • Category 4: Aspiring Vocalist (17-20 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 9 minutes

  • Category 5: Classic Vocalist (21-25 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 10 minutes

  • Category 6: Open (above 26 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 12 minutes

Classical Guitar

Choose one of the six main categories
 

  • Category 1: Very Young Guitarist (8-10 years old) - free choice programme up to 7 minutes

  • Category 2: Young Guitarist (11-13 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 8 minutes

  • Category 3: Junior Guitarist (14-16 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 9 minutes

  • Category 4: Senior Guitarist (17-20 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 9 minutes

  • Category 5: Master Guitarist (21-25 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 10 minutes

  • Category 6: Open (above 26 years old) - programme from two different eras up to 12 minutes


PLEASE NOTE: The competition programme should include two (preferably diverse) compositions of the participant's choice (with reference to the category chosen). NO JAZZ OR POP/ROCK PIECES OR ARRANGEMENTS

ARE PERMITTED. Programme is to be performed from memory, and separate movements from sonatas, suites and song cycles are allowed.
